Livingston community is projected to host 30000 people when completed. The Home Owner’s Association (HOA) in development is a recreational building that will be equipped with modern facilities to promote healthy and active lifestyles, organize signature programs and events for residents and their guests.
The HOA building is planned to have capacity for 100 parking stalls and over 40 bicycle stalls by the time it opens its doors in the Fall later this year. We foresee increasingly and uncontrolled street parking once activities that attracts crowds (birthday parties, wedding showers, hockey events etc.) pick up in coordination with daily use for splash park and ongoing signature programming.
Already, we have considered the inconvenience of having guests visiting homes within the community left with no other option but to park their vehicles blocks away because visitors to the HOA building have taken up all available street parking.
We envisage that homes in close proximity to the HOA building will be the most significantly impacted by this. We therefore encourage homeowners to take active steps to do something about this early by making their voices heard.
Your feedback will be presented to Brookfield for their consideration once we have a large enough representation.
